It has been a long time coming, home commitments have prevented me entering him into shows over the past year. Just when I was about to title him, his last points almost a year ago now, CRASH, no more shows, bumma. I have my own clubs' shows coming up in August. I hope to pick up the last 12 points there and finally title my dog. I will be ESTATIC when I do. What a way to make a first post lol. Sorry. Bit of a rush in at the gate. I have Labradors. I am the Vice President of my Dog Club. I am also a PBFD bird rescue. I have 2 dogs, 2 PBFD Psittacines, 1 cat. I also work at a Dog Boarding Kennels. Dogs and Cockatoo's are my passion. Hope to get to know you all.

Good luck with the showing. Labs are as competitive as Shelties! At least you are not expected to do three hours of grooming to show a dog in its natural state (why I love UKC - the frown upon anything other than trimming and brushing). I am mainly in Shelties... Our crew is here http://www.willowispshelties.com I also am webmaster for three Sheltie clubs and educational liason for one of them. I show mainly UKC though my mother and sister do AKC, my sister also does UKC. I also teach dog bite prevention: http://safekidssafedogs.com and am a trainer/behavioral consultant.
Ultimately WE make dogs what they are: good or bad.

Cockatoo's!! I was never really a bird person until I got to raise my own Goffin Cockatoo. He was bald when we got him and had to syringe feed him for awhile but I just have to say that he is the best bird I have ever met. I just love him and all of his dancing and tricks. I never realized how intelligent birds could be...although he won't talk or sing. He is just so super-clingy that he won't stay on a perch...no matter where I put it. If he's not on you, he's on his way to you so that he can scale you from your shoe up to his rightful place...your shoulder.
